We thoroughly enjoyed this wine tour. We were picked up from central Split and taken in a very comfortable van to the Sea View Terrace which overlooked the vineyard. We had to walk along a gently sloping track, through pretty landscape to reach the secluded vineyard area. We were immediately welcomed by the owner, Anton Kovac, and given a delicious glass of rose.

We had plenty of time to enjoy the views while at the Sea View Terrace. After some time we were welcomed inside where we were given local produce to pair with the Rose. Anton then told us the winery and family story, which was so moving, both Lyle and I couldn’t keep back a couple of tears. It made the tour even more special listening to how much Anton and his family had to sacrifice for many years to be able to have the winery and life they have now.

Once we had finished at the Sea View Terrace we moved on to taste the current season wines at the private production area. We were able to visit the fermentation area and had a lesson in how they make the wine in this region. Next, we moved onto the dining room area where we were able to choose which red wine we wanted and were treated to even more local produce. The wine, food and company were fabulous.

As you can see we absolutely loved this wine tour. We had so much fun, learnt so much about the history of the area and met some great people.
