The heart of Hvar beats within its Old Town, where the cobblestone streets weave around the lively main square, a bustling hub brimming with cafes and boutiques. Dominating the square is the stunning St. Stephen's Church, an architectural marvel with its serene facade and elegant bell tower that stands as a testament to the town's rich history. This area radiates charm and offers a glimpse into the island’s past while providing a perfect backdrop for a leisurely afternoon.

There are many pristine beaches and beach clubs around Hvar town. You only have to walk along the waterfront to find some chairs to hire, or if you prefer to spoil yourself, why not choose a cabana.

The harbour of Hvar is a spectacle of maritime opulence, where sleek superyachts and charming day trip boats mingle against a backdrop of stunning waterfront architecture. It's a place where you can watch the glitterati of the sea dock alongside local fishing boats, creating a captivating blend of luxury and authenticity. Stroll along the quayside, and you'll find an array of lively bars and restaurants, perfect for savoring a meal while soaking in the vibrant maritime atmosphere.

Perched high above the town, the Spanish Fort offers panoramic views that make the climb well worth it. This imposing fortress, with its rugged stone walls and commanding presence, was built to protect the island from invaders but now provides visitors with breathtaking vistas of Hvar’s stunning coastline and the shimmering Adriatic Sea. It’s a fantastic spot for a bit of history and some spectacular photo ops.

We enjoyed our three days on Hvar Island. The views of the surrounding islands and Adriatic Sea were particularly impressive. Make sure you stay for at least a couple of days so you can make the most of the beaches, islands and history.
